Former Player Needs Your Prayers

BridgewaterFootball.com has learned that Papi Rodriguez, a 2003 Bridgewater graduate, was involved in a motorcycle accident in Florida and was taken to an intensive care unit.

The two-year starter at safety finished with 112 tackles and six interceptions for his career.

The family just asks that you keep Papi in your thoughts and prayers. They really appreciate everyone's support during his road to recovery.

To the Rodriguez family with special attention to Papi, this is David Glazer, former teammate of Papi and Carlos and native of Cape Coral, and I had not heard of this terrible tragedy until I went up to Bridgewater to watch the homecoming game, which we defeated Hampden-Sydney. Since then you have been in my prayers, along with many other Bridgewater Alumni. I wish you a blessed recovery.

Papi, as alumni and former "Papi" fans, we were saddened to learn of your accident. We continue to pray that you will be blessed with the strength and courage to continue the battle to survive this accident to the best of your ability. We will eagerly applaud your return to the maximum recovery God and your physicians are able to achieve. God continues to work miracles.
